Access, Affordability & Success Committee

Mission

We fully support the University’s long-standing commitment to advancing equity – fair treatment, access, and opportunity – and contributing to the common good, and we accept the responsibilities we have to each other as fellow citizens of the world. We believe in building community across race, class, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, national origin, disability status, and veteran status, and understand that by weaving the fabric of Georgetown from the rich diversity of identities, thought, ideas, experiences, and cultures of our students, faculty, staff, and administrators, we strengthen our whole community, allow each member to realize their full potential, and create an environment where all feel welcome and included, and hope and possibility grow and thrive. We recognize the good that the Georgetown family can realize by joining together to remove systemic barriers to post-secondary education, provide financial resources to fund scholarships, and provide best-in-class comprehensive programmatic supports and services to create meaningful opportunities and real pathways to ongoing success for all students for whom access to a Georgetown education would otherwise not be possible. We pledge to advance and support these efforts. We join with University leadership and our fellow Regents to focus our energy on pursuing continued excellence, caring for others, and supporting generations of Hoyas to come.
